Meet Our Founders
Manyi — Founder & CEO
The grey domestic shorthair with a little patch of white fur at her neck, like she’s wearing a tiny scarf. That’s her in the middle of our logo. Manyi is the quiet one. She won’t come barreling to the door the way the dogs do. She loves in a slower, softer way: a gentle weight against you when you need it most, a purr that somehow always arrives at the right time. She’s a devoted jazz fan, and her favorite song is Isn’t She Lovely on the melodica. She loves belly rubs while lying flat on her back and long afternoons watching the world from the window. She’s the kind of soul you don’t quite notice at first, and then can’t imagine being without. Everyone falls for her, slowly but surely.
Ponyo — Chief Cuddle Officer
She’s the Maltese on the left of our logo. Soft and white all over, and completely certain that every bit of attention in any room was meant for her. Ponyo is the warm one, and she loves loudly. She’s first to the door, first into your lap, and the last to accept that playtime is ever really over. She gets a little jealous when the spotlight drifts to someone else, and she’s not shy about asking for it back. Give her a toy and a willing human and she’s happy for hours. She’s the kind of dog who makes a whole room feel a little brighter, just by being in it.
Snoopy — Chief Adventure Officer
He’s the golden retriever on the right of our logo, the big gentle one of the group. Snoopy is warm and a little sensitive, and sharper than he lets on. He tends to read the mood of a room before anyone else has caught up. What he loves most is being outside: a new trail, a new smell, somewhere he hasn’t explored yet. He’ll happily walk twice as far as you planned, then look back to make sure you’re still coming. He’s the friend who’s always up for the adventure, and somehow always glad you came along.
So… what about the humans?
We’re the people behind PetIsland, and we love these three more than is probably reasonable. Manyi, Ponyo, and Snoopy are the three silhouettes in our logo, and they’re the reason any of this exists. We started PetIsland with one simple wish: that every pet, everywhere, gets to be loved well and live a happy life. That’s the standard behind everything we carry. We only want to offer things we’d give our own three, because we think your pets deserve exactly the same.
